Best British

Britannia Arms isn’t your typical British pub. Although it’s amply dark and musty, Britannia is one of the hottest, liveliest hangouts in Silicon Valley. Even on weeknights, the place is never quiet, with games such as pool, darts, foosball, bubble hockey and trivia; plus there’s live entertainment such as karaoke and slightly more professional cover bands. But, the best times at Britannia are during European sports events, namely soccer: The British clientele comes out in droves, even if it’s six in the morning. Favorite dishes from across the pond include pork sausage bangers and mash, corned beef and cabbage, shepherd’s pie, and a curry of the day. Besides the British fare, there are barbecued baby back ribs, creamy garlic chicken pasta, pizzas and sandwiches.

Full bar. Serving lunch, dinner and late-night daily.
