Locals congregate in droves to get a taste of the highbrow vegetarian cuisine with international twists at Cafe Flora, but the unpretentious dining room feels more like your mother’s kitchen than a restaurant. The menu is seasonal and changes weekly with the exception of some customer favorites. Many items are available vegan or gluten-free. Entrées include Oaxaca tacos (corn tortillas filled with mashed potatoes, cheddar and smoky mozzarella), portobello Wellington (grilled portobello mushrooms, leeks and mushroom-pecan pâté in a puff pastry with Madeira wine sauce) and pumpkin risotto cakes. A wildly popular weekend brunch includes beignets, vegan sticky buns, peach pancakes and breakfast quesadillas.

"This delightful, upscale restaurant has a loyal following of non-vegetarians who never ask 'Where's the beef?' when perusing the innovative menu with many vegan preparations."
Gayot Full bar. Serving breakfast and lunch Mon–Fri, dinner nightly. Sat–Sun brunch 9 am–2 pm.
