From the restaurant's website:
"Although the restaurant seems to have been part of [Pike Place Market] forever, Matt Janke founded it in 1996. The tiny (then only 23 seats), primitively equipped restaurant attracted a fiercely loyal clientele, drawn by imaginative cuisine that changed constantly based on what was available from the stalls downstairs. After spending a year as Matt's working partner, Dan Bugge has taken over as owner. Dan brought with him Executive Chef Chester Gerl, his friend of over 10 years."

Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner Mon–Sat. Closed Sun.

"This casual gourmet restaurant has the best location of any restaurant in Pike Place Market. Located on the third floor of the Corner Market Building, Matt's faces the big neon clock that is the quintessential symbol of the market."
