ADDRESS: 820 Second Ave, Seattle, WA 98104

CUISINE: Fine Dining, Seafood, Steak House, Oysters, Crab, Crab Cakes, Lobster

FEATURES: Full Bar, Handicap Access, Smoke Free

DETAILS
In Seattle, "The Met" is not a venue that houses a collection of Egyptian artifacts and European masterworks, but rather a celebration of one of America’s greatest contributions to the world: the perfect steak. With massive granite columns reaching to the ceiling, an elegant, 50-foot black marble bar and oversized plush booths, The Met is the essence of old school. The "Guess the Dow" competition at the bar should be a tip-off to the type of crowd that gathers here. They start with corn-fed Nebraska beef steaks grilled to order over live mesquite and offered in petite and Metropolitan sizes. Entrées include the New York peppercorn steak, the blackened prime rib and the lobster tail.
Full bar. Serving lunch Mon–Fri, dinner nightly. "The place to go for a dry martini and a rare steak after a good day of shorting suckers in the stock market."
