Best Deli

A restaurant that stocks two dozen kinds of mustards is bound to make delicious sandwiches. Cecil’s Delicatessen has been doing just that since 1949. Though breakfast favorites include sumptuous omelets and an array of tasty pastries baked in-house, Cecil’s is best known for its sandwiches, served in two sizes: the regular and the bursting-at-the-seams, half-pound New York-style option. The Reuben is a classic, as are the turkey club and the famed grilled salami. Tucked away in the Highland Park neighborhood of St. Paul, Cecil’s unassuming exterior might fool you into thinking there’s nothing to be found inside. This would be a mistake of gastronomical proportions.

No alcohol available. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.

"When it comes to authentic deli fare, Cecil's is the place, from the potato latkes on the griddle to the celery soda in the refrigerator case."
