Husband-and-wife team Bryan and Diane Carr add a touch of class to Clayton with their French Contemporary Pomme and sister restaurant two doors down, Pomme Cafe & Wine Bar.

From the restaurant's website:"We've often been asked the story behind our name pomme (the word apple in French). There really isn't one, except that we like the sound of pomme (pronounced pom). We like the colors of apples and you'll find those in our room. We like the smallness of the name pomme. We opened during the apple harvest. We like simple and complex associations. It is our intent to tempt you with our ambiance, bonhomie and cuisine."

Full bar. Serving dinner Tue-Sat. Closed Sun-Mon.

"Chef-owner Bryan Carr's French-inspired cuisine includes his deeply flavored boneless short ribs with a mustard-parsley crust, the kind of simple fare that has foodies coming back for more."- Gayot
