One of Tampa-St. Pete's most highly regarded restaurants, Mise en Place specializes in American contemporary fine dining with a focus on fresh local ingredients. Located across the street from the University of Tampa, the restaurant is popular for both romantic dates and power lunches. Chef/co-owner Marty Blitz's menu changes constantly, but when available, start with chicken liver pear port mousse pâté, a gourmet pizza or an artisanal cheese plate. Palate-pleasing entrée options may range from veal scaloppine with lobster ravioli to peppercorn-crusted tuna. If you're finding it hard to choose, try the multi-course "Get Blitzed" tasting menu of chef-selected courses paired with complementary wines.
