"NOBU TOKYO is the Japanese branch of the NOBU restaurants by owner chef Nobu Matsuhisa.
It serves Nobu’s renowned combination of South American & western influenced Japanese cuisine which has been branded distinctly as “Nobu Food” . It has played the flagship role for the fusion Japanese scene since its first opening in Minami Aoyama in 1998 and has continued to please the taste buds of many in and out of town guests of all nationalities. After its 8th year, Nobu decides to part with this restaurant, in pursuit of an atmosphere closer to that of his restaurants in New York. He teams up with his NY partners, including Robert De Niro to start this new venture in January 2007, located in Toranomon near the Hotel Okura. Unlike its predecessor, this restaurant, is equipped with features such as a sushi counter and a stand up style waiting bar creating a more open ambiance to be enjoyed by all."
