After a makeover, the still-elegant but more approachable 2941 and Chef Bertrand Chemel features menu items such as Amish Chicken Breast, Nantucket Bay Scallops, and Grilled Tuna Loin.
From the restaurant's website:
"2941 has long been known as one of the premier, fine dining destinations in Northern Virginia. This January [2012], the restaurant underwent an extensive kitchen renovation and dining room refresh, the results of which are sure to appeal to guests in search of a distinctive dining retreat any night of the week. While our unparalleled water views, floor-to-ceiling windows and contemporary feel remain, our regulars and newcomers will enjoy our redesigned bar and lounge, featuring craft cocktails, an extensive wine-by-the-glass offering and fun bar menu designed for sharing with friends. The dining room has also been updated in every way, from carpeting to china, and a new culinary style featuring Chef Bertrand Chemel's award-wining cuisine in a more approachable setting. Gone are the nightly tasting menus (except for special occasions and advance reservations), leaving guests with the opportunity to enjoy 2941 for any occasion. ..."
Full bar. Serving lunch Mon–Fri, dinner Mon–Sat. Closed Sun.
"It tasted as if Bertrand Chemel was playing it safe in his first few months at this glamorous lakeside restaurant in Falls Church. No more. These days, the 33-year-old import from New York is turning out food that puts him in the upper echelons of Washington's culinary elite."
