Locals will fondly remembers the first peach iced tea and fried chicken salad they ever ate at Georgia Brown’s. Offering “Gracious service and Southern hospitality,” this cozy restaurant serves up Low Country favorites such as shrimp and grits and heavenly cornbread. Tuck into fried chicken livers, perlau (a classic Charleston rice dish) and catfish. Of course, there are grits and greens galore. All this, plus there’s a jazz brunch on Sundays offering a knee-weakening selection of breakfast favorites (applewood smoked bacon, roasted red potato home fries and biscuit battered French toast) and lunch items (fried chicken, jambalaya and smoked salmon).

 

Reservations suggested. Full bar. Serving lunch Mon–Sat, dinner nightly. Sun brunch 10 am–2:30 pm.
