No white linens top these tables, nor do celebrity caricatures decorate the walls: Ray’s the Steaks provides the anti-chain experience in favor of true neighborhood flavor. Loyal patrons will gladly drive from the beef emporium that is D.C. to Arlington, Va., where chef/owner Michael Landrum newly relocated and expanded restaurant offers the same top-drawer cuts of meat for substantially smaller prices. Enjoy gargantuan New York strips, bacon-wrapped filets and rib eyes, served with two heaping cast-iron skillets of mashed potatoes and creamed spinach (at no extra charge). Excellent wine list and house-made pies to boot.
Reservations strongly recommended. Full bar. Serving dinner nightly.
