As many of you already know, We are hosting a Benefit dinner on Thursday night April- 30th
for the Northwest Railroad Museum at the Woodman Lodge. In the January
flood, much of the Rails from North Bend to the Snoqualmie falls were
severely damaged. We are asking our community to join us in the "Save
our Rails" benefit to raise funds needed to keep the Northwest Railroad
museum operational. Our goal is contribute $25,000 of the $110,000 in
cost of repairs to the damaged rails.
We have worked with the NW
Railroad museum to put together a night of great food and
entertainment. Before dinner, tour the Historical Northwest Railroad
depot while getting in some great wine tasting by representatives from
the Grateful Choice, Small Vineyards of Italy, Pengwine and Barnard
Griffin vineyards! At the Woodman Lodge, Dinner entrée choices will
include Prime Rib, Creekstone Center-cut Sirloin Steak, Fresh Alaskan
King Salmon and Chicken or Smoked salmon Fettuccine Alfredo. Dinner
also includes two salad choices and Desert. While dinning, we have a
very special guest, "Doug Bright" on the 1928 Bush & Lane upright
piano; performing heritage ragtime and great music from the 1920's-
30's. Doug Bright is truly amazing to listen and watch play!
After
dinner, The Museum will be offering train rides every 30 minutes from
the Depot over to the Snoqualmie Falls. So grab a glass of wine and
take a journey down the tracks to view Washington states most popular
attractions. A small silent auction will also take place over at the
depot with some amazing items with which to bid for; including a
upcoming concert at the new Snoqualmie Casino, Spa and Dinner packages
at the Salish, Dinner for 4 at Woodman Lodge, a 1/2 Day Scenic Float
plane ride around the San Juan Islands, and many more.
I am
asking and hope you can participate in helping us to help the Northwest
Railroad Museum. The Cost of the tickets for the event are $150 per
couple and $85 for a single ticket. I know we are all a little tight on
funds these days, "Me Included".. But this is a great cause !! Most all
of us have seen our children in their younger years smile from " Ear to
Ear" when coming out to see and ride the Historical train cars. Lets
pull together and help these guys out! It will be a great night of good
people, entertainment and Fun.
Tickets can be purchased by Calling and booking your reservation time at 425/888-4441 or emailing your ticket request to tickets@woodmanlodge.com.
Thanks to all who have Donated and to those that will be attending this very needed event!
