The outdoor festival season in Memphis starts Saturday, April 11
with the 14th Annual Overton Square Crawfish Festival. This year the
festival will move to a new location at 2094 Madison Avenue where Bayou
Bar and Grill relocated last summer. The festival will feature a ton
(literally) of fresh crawfish brought straight from the bayou in
Louisiana along with other Cajun delights from the Bayou Bar &
Grill such as muffalettas, red beans & rice and delicious seafood
gumbo.
This year’s fest features an impressive musical line-up beginning at Noon with Johnny Lowebow, followed by Snowglobe, Jump Back Jake, and closing act Amy LaVere.
The festival runs from Noon to 6 pm and is free admission. Free
parking for the festival will be across Madison Avenue in the large
Overton Square Parking lot at Cooper and Trimble. The event is
presented by Bayou Bar & Grill, sponsors of the event include
Corona and the Memphis Flyer.
