The event will feature a large crawfish boil, with 500 pounds of free crawfish being given away at noon; the annual Gumbo Cook-Off; and Zany Cajun Contests, including crawfish races, a crawfish-eating contest, crawfish toss and crawfish bob. Entertainment will be provided by two Louisiana bands – Lafayette's Bayou Boys and New Orleans' Roy Carrier and the Night Rockers.

 "Rajun Cajun is one of the most popular spring events here in Memphis, and we're expecting this year to be bigger and better than ever," said Mike Warr, executive vice president of development and new business at Porter-Leath. "This event gives people a chance to come out and enjoy an authentic Cajun event on the banks of the Mississippi – all while raising money to further Porter-Leath's mission."

Admission is free, but proceeds from event vendors go to Porter-Leath. Tickets also are available in advance for the Swamp VIP Tent for $50 per person and $100 per couple. With VIP tickets, attendees will receive unlimited crawfish and drinks, plus a shady spot to enjoy the music.

Porter-Leath also is seeking teams for the annual Gumbo Cook-Off. More than $1,000 will be awarded to the winning teams. Participants are selected on a first-come, first-served basis.
