The Denver
Post: Hosea Rosenberg, the executive chef at Jax Fish House in
Boulder, won Bravo's "Top Chef: New York" [Feb. 25]. The
35-year-old chef, who holds a degree in physics engineering from
the University of Colorado at Boulder, took the $100,000 prize with
a three-course meal of sashimi, scallops with foie gras and venison
loin. With bacon-apple "Hosea Margaritas," Rosenberg and fellow
contestant Melissa Harrison, chef at Happy Noodle House, watched
the finale with about 100 friends and fans at the West End Tavern
in Boulder. Rosenberg will be featured in Food & Wine magazine,
and make an appearance at the Aspen Food & Wine Classic in
June. Rosenberg says he plans to travel in order to research new
restaurant ideas. Sworn to secrecy, Rosenberg kept his win to
himself. "He's got a poker face. He plays poker every night," said
Harrison over sounds of celebration at the West End Tavern. "I'm so
proud of him, he deserves every bit of it. He's gonna stick around
and rock it in Boulder." http://www.bravotv.com/top-chef
