Biscuits from Nashville's Loveless Cafe, a "Top 10 Comfort Food"
Food Network Magazine hunted down the best sweets, comfort foods, regional classics, and food/drink destinations in the country and deemed ten lucky restaurants/dishes the best of each category. Alton Brown will present the results on a The Food Network special September 20-23, but they've posted them on their website already. As Brown tells Food Network Magazine, "There are some real surprises in here": the finalists are both upscale (mashed potatoes at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon, The Bazaar's riff on a Philly cheesesteak) and down home (small town barbecue joints, real cowboy cookouts). Winners will be announced during the on-air special.
