Gala Event Previews Taste of Hudson Chefs at Glamorous Affair

23, 2010 – Hudson, Ohio – The date has been set for Hail to the Chefs,
Hudson’s premier gala to showcase many of the chefs and restaurants
participating in this year’s Taste of Hudson. The event, in its fourth
year, will be held on Saturday, June 5, at the Hudson Library and
Historical Society, from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. The area’s finest chefs
will serve up preview samples of their selections for Taste of Hudson,
the annual two-day food and entertainment festival to be held on Labor
Day weekend, September 5 & 6, 2010. The line-up of chefs and

will also include appetizers by Bay Lobsters and Adams Reserve, New
York Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese and desserts by Chef Marc D’Antonio
Acme Fresh Market and Chocolates of Hudson, inside Hersheys.
Honorary
Chairs for Hail to the Chefs are William Considine, president and CEO
of Akron Children’s Hospital, Rusty Hopkins with Windstream
Communications and Kathy Chadwick-Koke, Marketing Director of Laurel
Lake Retirement Community and the event chair is Hudson resident and
Taste of Hudson Restaurant Coordinator Carrie Gynn. “This year’s event
is going to be even more special with appetizers served on the
beautiful Library patio in conjunction with wine and beer tastings and
desserts that are simply wonderful. The event will also feature
spectacular entertainment, a silent auction, and a complimentary gift
to each attendee,” said Gynn. “Plus, for the first time we have
partnered with WKYC-TV to promote Taste of Hudson and Hail to the
Chefs. WKYC News Anchor, Mark Nolan will serve as Special Host and
longtime local radio personality and Hudson resident Matt Patrick will
be the official Master of Ceremonies.
The event will begin
at 7 p.m. with an out-of-doors wine tasting under a beautifully
decorated tent. The wine tasting, produced by North End, will feature
select, celebrated wines, crafted beers selected by House of LaRose and
delicious appetizers. The popular Hail to the Chefs silent auction will
feature many unique items from local and regional businesses. Attendees
will be treated to the sounds of The Fabulous VOICES Band while on the
patio. At 8 p.m., the event will move indoors where the chefs will
showcase some of the foods they will serve at Taste of Hudson, a
two-day festival to be held over Labor Day weekend. Plus, should the
Cleveland Cavaliers be playing that night in the NBA playoffs the game
will be shown live!
Importantly, Hail to the Chefs, like
Taste of Hudson, will benefit the Safe Kids Coalition of Summit County
