Lobster Days, Mystic, CT, Memorial Day Weekend, May 29-31, 2010

Lobster Days

Memorial Day Weekend, May 29-31 / 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Crack your first lobster claw of the season at Mystic Seaport’s butter-dribbling, shell-sucking, quintessentially New-England Lobster Days during Memorial Day Weekend.

Lobsters in the rough are served by the Rotary Club of Mystic. Lobster platters are served picnic-style under Mystic Seaport’s open-air Boat Shed where diners can watch boats cruising on the Mystic River and enjoy music of the sea. All proceeds from Memorial Day Weekend support the Rotary Club of Mystic's community organizations and projects.

The weekend offers special activities for visitors of all ages, presentations detailing the Long Island lobstering industry, lobster story time in the Children's Museum and 19th-century games on the Village Green.

Lobster platters include cole slaw, corn on the cob, drawn butter and choice of iced tea or lemonade. A hot dog platter, cash bar and other goodies are also available.

Museum Admission is required to attend Lobster Days. Regular museum admission does not include price of food. Food and drink are purchased separately when on grounds.
