It should be noted that Daniel rocketed up 33 places, and it is EMP's and wd~50's first time on the list. Masa and Jean Georges have been dropped. In international news, El Bulli was displaced from the first place spot for the first time in five years. Now Noma, chef Rene Redzepi's restaurant, holds the honor. Grant Achatz's Alinea [in Chicago] has the top honors in the U.S., coming in seventh."
