Tastings for the trade and media: Members of the wine trade and media (e.g. restaurateurs, retailers, hoteliers, and journalists) are invited to taste literally hundreds of Napa Valley wines from both longtime favorites and up-and-comers. Come meet the movers and shakers behind these brands. In addition to helping retailers, wholesalers and restaurateurs plan purchases, these tastings are a great way to educate staff about what makes Napa Valley wines legendary. More than 70 members of the Napa Valley Vintners will showcase Napa Valley's legendary wines-both longtime favorites and up-and-coming brands. In addition to current releases, the tasting will feature library wines selected especially for this tasting.

From 6 to 8 p.m., guests can savor wines from nearly three dozen Napa Valley wineries, accompanied by foods from local chefs. The tasting provides visitors a unique opportunity to meet the people behind Napa Valley wines and a chance to participate in a silent auction raising money for the nonprofit Museum.

Educational seminars: The character of any wine comes from the grapes that go into it, and the character of those grapes is firmly rooted in the place where they are grown. So the NVV hosts seminars and workshops for the wine trade, with vintners as presenters and panelists, to educate and illustrate the science behind the Napa Valley appellation and what makes it the most renowned winegrowing region in America.
