NYC & Company, New York City's marketing, tourism and partnership
organization, announced NYC Restaurant Week Summer 2011 -- the city’s
original culinary celebration and world’s first Restaurant Week -- will
take place July 11 to 24, 2011.
For the 12th consecutive season, prices for the prix-fixe three-course
meals will remain $24.07 for lunch and $35 for dinner (excluding
beverages, taxes and gratuities). Diners will be able to take advantage
of the limited-time value Mondays through Fridays; Saturdays are
excluded and Sundays are optional for participating restaurants. NYC
Restaurant Week began in 1992 as a one-time dining program to welcome
the National Democratic Convention to town. Since then, the city’s
largest gastronomic event has grown from 95 restaurants to more than
300, and has developed to include exclusive dining benefits,
sweepstakes, consumer events and products. For more information, visit www.nycgo.com.
