Every year in May, the Kiwanis Club sponsors Hilton Head’s
premier BBQ event at the Coastal Discovery Museum of Hilton Head.
The fields at Honey Horn spring to life with the wonderful smells
of hickory stoked fires, slow cooked ribs and pulled pork.
Hundreds of residents and visitors join the Kiwanis Clubs to
raise funds for local children’s charities, to enjoy some downhome
music and to enjoy some of the South’s best BBQ.
Cooking starts the night before as restaurants and gifted
amateurs compete for trophy’s and another year’s bragging rights.
Children play on inflatable castles and slides in the
children’s area and run in the open fields. The Sheriff’s
Department and Fire Department typically provide equipment and
educational displays.

Advance tickets are $12, (children under 12 are admitted free) and
will go on sale in late April through any Kiwanis member, Burke’s
Pharmacy, The Coastal Discovery Museum and User Friendly at 29F Hunter
Road.
