Event Info
The 29th Annual Strawberry Fest is the granddaddy of Long
Grove’s signature festivals, drawing close to 40,000 visitors to the
historic business district for the 3-day event. It is considered one of
the premier outdoor festivals in the Chicagoland area.
One of nature’s most succulent summer treats, strawberries have the
power to transport adults back to their lazy childhood days, and help
children create sweet memories of their own. Festival-goers can enjoy
lip-smacking strawberry smoothies, ice cream, fresh and sugary
strawberry donuts, baked goods, and dipping stations, all supplied with
farm-fresh berries. For the adults, wine pairings will raise the
berry-tasting experience to a more mature level.A Long Grove staple,
Apple Haus is always a crowd pleaser with their strawberry apple pies
and other apple concoctions.
Family Friendly Activities
For the kids, Radio Disney and other kid-friendly media sponsors will be
on hand. Little strawberry lovers can have their faces painted; enjoy
pony rides, and play games in the kid-friendly booths. Other fun
activities for the youngsters include a ride on a spinning apple, a mini
carousel, a train, a blow up clown filled with balloons, a jumping
castle and a huge blowup slide. The Strawberry Festival definitely
caters to the little ones!
