LocalEats got some media love from Shelley Fralic of the
Vancouver Sun in her article, "Working up an app-etite"
(har har). She listed LocalEats first among restaurant
finding apps and had the following to say:
" ... if you'd rather make reservations instead of rump
roast, the 99-cent Local Eats lists the top 100 restaurants and
'best of' in major cities around the globe, and allows the user to
browse by category, neighbourhood and price. The Vancouver link has
all the usual tony suspects, like Bishop's and Vij's, but also
points to funky eateries like Crave on Main and Bin 941. Each entry
has photos, descriptions and maps."
We're happy to hear that we sufficiently mixed in some "funky
eateries" with the sometimes more obvious upscale choices. Follow
the link for our full list of
Vancouver's best restaurants. You can find our newly updated
app (which now includes 50 more international cities as well as a
"search by landmark" feature) in the iTunes
store.
