The pesky Arizona Diamondbacks took down the Brewers 10-6 in
their NLDS game Wednesday night. But the beloved Brew Crew is not
snakebit just yet: there's a deciding game 5 to be had in Milwaukee
Friday evening. If you're making the trek to Miller Park, you could
just eat at the stadium. But those who value their digestive tracts
as well as their hard earned cash will be looking for local
Milwaukee restaurants for a bite before or after the game.
Lucky for the latter group that we've just revised and edited our
list of Milwaukee's
Best restaurants. For those unfamiliar with our new site, you
can search for Milwaukee restaurants by price range, category
(cuisine), address and even proximity to landmarks.
Restaurants near Miller Park include
Saz's State House - go with the St. Louis-style ribs
or the fried fish on Friday - which is also an ideal place to watch
the game if you don't have tickets. Or there's the classic German
beer hall experience at
Kegel's Inn, open since 1924. For post-game pizza,
Balistreri's Bluemond Inn is a favorite among locals as
well.
Happy dining in the Brew City, or as the Algonquin Indians
called it, Mill-e-wah-que, for "The Good Land." (at least according
to Alice Cooper)
